The wearable arts show keeping waste out of landfill
Junk to Funk is an event aimed at raising awareness of waste, encouraging kids and adults to create wearable art made from materials that would otherwise end up in landfill. In 2024 I was part of the team that organised the event and brought the show to life.
This involved teaching sewing and making workshops and running a school holiday programme, securing sponsorship, planning logistics, advertising, and marketing the event.
